BW Club Policies on the wearing of Shorts 2017
This data has been collated from information sent to the BW
Administrator in response to a request for Club Policies.
Alderbury BC - the Alderbury
members voted in favour of the wearing of shorts.
Amesbury BC - we are
happy for the wearing of shorts on our green within the BE/BW guidelines
Box BC - Tailored
Shorts are permitted at our club
Bradford on Avon BC - Shorts are NOT
allowed
Broughton Gifford
BC - we are happy to allow visiting players to wear shorts within the BE/BW
guidelines.
Chippenham Park BC – have taken the
decision to have a NO SHORTS policy
Chippenham Town BC - Shorts
are permitted within the BE/BW guidelines.
Corsham BC will permit
visitors to wear shorts on their green as long as they conform to the
guidelines.
Devizes BC Policy on Shorts –
The BE Licensed /Approved shorts may be worn by visiting bowlers for all BE events ie all rounds of
County Championships and BE National Competitions that lead to National Finals
at Leamington. Also for Johns, Middleton, Walker, Balcombe and White Rose
matches. Shorts
are not permitted for any other events.
Holt Men BC - will allow visiting
clubs to wear shorts in accordance with the guidelines set by BW & BE.
Marlborough BC- Shorts are
permitted within the BE/BW guidelines.
Mere BC – Shorts are
permitted within the BE/BW guidelines.
North Wilts BC – Shorts are
permitted within the BE/BW guidelines.
Pewsey Vale BC - will permit
the wearing of “regulation” shorts, approved by the committee of visiting
teams, in the Pewsey clubhouse and on the Pewsey green.
Purton BC - will allow visiting
players to wear shorts within the BE/BW guidelines.
Salisbury BC – shorts allowed
in line with BE/BW guidelines.
Spencer Melksham BC - policy is to allow
shorts within BW/BE guidelines.
Stratton Churchway
BC - We are allowing shorts to be worn on our green, within the BW/BE
guidelines.
Supermarine BC – Shorts are
allowed.
Swindon BC - Swindon
Bowls Club will permit the wearing of shorts in matches played on their green.
However, it must be in line with Bowls England Guidance notes dated July
2015.
Swindon County Ground BC- have
made the decision that they will not permit shorts to be worn at any
event.
Swindon North End BC - are in
agreement with the wearing of shorts within the BE/BW guidelines and are happy
to for visiting club members to do likewise.
Swindon Town Gardens BC - will not allow
shorts to be worn at our Club.
Tisbury BC – we allow members
of visiting teams to wear shorts (within the BE/BW guidelines) for matches
if they so wish.
Trowbridge
Westbourne BC - has approved the wearing of 'official' shorts with appropriate
socks etc for all games on our green.
Wanborough BC - 2016: Shorts
will not be permitted at Wanborough
Warminster BC - are in favour of
wearing shorts on the green, in accordance with Bowls England Guidelines.
Westlecot BC - we allow the
wearing of shorts providing they are BE
licensed/approved, no other shorts are permitted.
Winsley BC - no objections to
visiting players wearing shorts.
Wilton BC - our committee have
now decided that we will allow visiting teams to wear shorts.
