Welcome to Stratton Churchway Bowls Club.

The National Wiltshire Pairs final delayed from July took place at Devizes Bowls Club on Saturday 7th September.
It is congratulations to the Stratton Ladies Jackie Pearce & Janet Willis who defeated Debbie Shadwell & Kathryn Yeoman of Box
The match was close with nothing between the 2 pairs until the 10th end when Box scored a 5 to open up a six-shot lead (14-8). The Stratton pair put this bad end behind them and over the next 9 ends slowly got back on level terms 17-17, setting up a two-end shot out. The 20th end proved to be decisive as Stratton scored 5 shots. It was Janet with her 3rd wood who moved Box’s holding shot enabling her final wood to gain the 5th shot. On the 21st and final end Stratton were always in control and gained another 3 shots to run out winners 25-17.
