A mixed weekend at the Swindon & District Finals.
On Saturday 14th September
There was an easy victory for the Mixed Rink of J. Pearce A. Cawte C.Hare & L.Pearce against a rink from Purton. They race into the lead which they never lost.
In the Ladies Charity Triples it was a close game in the early stages but the Stratton Ladies of K. Hussain J.Bryant & J.Willis slowly pulled away winning 19-11.
In the Ladies Double Rink in a grandstand finish Stratton lost by the narrowest of margins 1 shot overall with one rink drawing and the other losing by one. 32-31
The Mens triples of P Hitchcox J.Bryant C.Hare were easily beaten 22-5 by the Westlecot triple.
On Sunday 15th September
There was straight forward victory for the Mixed Triple of J. Pearce A. Cawte & C.Hare over Supermarine.
In the Ladies Rink the match went down to the last end with Highworth winning 19-17.
In the Ladies Pairs again with was disappointment for W.Anderson & J.Willis losing out to the Purton pair 19-10
