Members Responsibilities
The Committee urge, with respect, that all members please read and heed the points and requests below.
- To help run and make our club successful
- To share the responsibility for the upkeep of the clubhouse and grounds
- Make sure the clubhouse doors and gate are locked if you are the last to leave
- Do your bit to help run the club, help at the bar, collecting glasses, cleaning up after teas and suppers (including the kitchen)
- Help to water the green and all the Friday morning jobs throughout the whole year
- Make sure all mats, jacks and scoreboards, etc. are put away after use, do not leave them out for somebody else to put away
- Look after the green. Bowl carefully in wet or damp weather, a damaged green spoils it for all of us
- Support SCBC functions and events throughout the whole year. Galas, Skittles, Whist, Dominoes, Table Tennis, Club Comps etc. all help the club finances
- Ask yourself these questions – What do I do at my bowls club? Could I do more rather than leave it to someone else?
- In emergencies, contact the appropriate service first and then a member of the committee as soon as is convenient
- Use the changing rooms provided and the lockers if available, remembering to return the locker key to the locker after usage
- Do NOT leave bags close to the edges of the green or under the veranda
- If unsure of any procedure or how to get involved in any activities or team, please ASK

Any other matches arranged and not covered by the list above will be decided by team captains
